The Fundación Naturaleza y Hombre manages a number of nature reserves through its Areas for Life Programme
This program was created to offer sustainable management to a series of areas, selected because of their natural values. It is a management that complements the traditional figures of protection.
The management of the reserves included in the network is supported by a management tool called land stewardship. It is based on the establishment of agreements between Fundación Naturaleza y Hombre and the ownership of the land, in order to promote the conservation of the space, as well as its natural, cultural and landscape values and the sustainable use of their resources, where FNYH acts as the managing guardian of the site under custody.
Over the years, the Areas for Life Programme has generated a wide network of reserves, representative of various habitats. This is a dynamic program that allows for interaction between the owners of the reserves and the custodial entity, in this case our foundation.
